Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Portfolio Analyst to join our Portfolio Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a solid foundation in investment operations to take on more responsibility, lead small-scale projects, and drive process efficiencies in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconciliation & Support: Oversee daily and month-end reconciliations, manage aged items, and prepare monthly management metrics.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies with custodians and internal teams; assist in addressing the root causes of recurring issues.
- Process Improvement: Assist in identifying risks and increasing efficiencies across core functions, including cash support and performance analysis.
- Project Collaboration: Work within project teams to support the deployment of new products and services.
- Communication: Clearly articulate issues and risks to management; build sound working relationships with investment teams and relationship managers.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years in investment operations or portfolio accounting. Attention to detail with the ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
- Execution: Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and drive continuous improvement.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
Preferred Tech & Skills
- Systems: Experience with Advent (APX), Bloomberg, CRD, WSO, or SS&C Recon is a plus.
- Technical Tools: Intermediate to advanced MS Excel; exposure to Power BI or MS Access.

Responsibilities
rESPONSIBLITIES
• Initiating and leading improvements across portfolio accounting and portfolio performance functions.
• Supporting the deployment of new products and services as part of project teams.
• Effectively leading escalation efforts with custodians and other parties to resolve discrepancies timely and help address the root cause of ongoing issues.
• Identifying opportunities to reduce risk and/or increase efficiencies across core portfolio accounting functions including team reconciliations, performance analysis, daily cash support and complex derivatives activities.
• Additional responsibilities may include team lead roles, overseeing preparation of daily and month-end reconciliations, aged items and monthly management metrics reporting.
• Candidate must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with custodians, internal operational team members, investment team contacts and relationship managers to resolve issues and build sound working relationships.
