Front Counter Sales – Walter Knoll Florist (Industry Leader Since 1883)
Walter Knoll Florist, an industry leader since 1883, is seeking a Front Counter Sales team member to join us. This position is ideal for someone who loves helping people, enjoys working with flowers, and is excited to grow into the floral profession. Many of our florists started right here at the counter — and we’re proud to provide training in the art of floral design.
As the first point of contact with our clients, you’ll play a vital role in providing excellent customer service —listening carefully, answering questions, and ensuring every order is handled with care. A key part of this position is accurately entering client wishes directly into our order-taking system via keyboard . Spelling, accuracy, and attention to detail are of utmost importance.
Responsibilities:
Provide warm, professional customer service in person and by phone.
Accurately enter client orders into our system, ensuring all details are correct.
Assist clients in selecting flowers and gifts.
Learn floral design skills while working directly with experienced florists.
Assist the Head Florist with preparing and arranging floral materials.
Support event set-up and tear-down.
Maintain a clean and organized design space.
Participate in inventory management and shop upkeep.
Qualifications:
0–2 years of customer service or related experience (floral experience a plus, but not required).
Strong keyboard skills with high accuracy in spelling and data entry.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Passion for flowers and eagerness to learn floral design.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Organized, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
