Job Description

We are partnered with a rapidly growing start-up that is seeking a VP of Finance. The role reports directly to the CEO and will have a clear path to CFO. The position is hybrid in Downtown San Francisco. Client will support relocation. 

• Salary: 250-325k + bonus & equity 

Responsibilities:

• Partner with executive leadership on company strategy, capital allocation, and long-term planning
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Deliver financial analysis and insights to drive performance and strategic decisions
• Build and scale financial systems, processes, and controls to support significant growth
• Oversee board reporting, investor communications, and overall financial narrative
• Manage capital structure and funding strategy
• Hire, develop, and lead the finance and accounting team
• Manage relationships with auditors, advisors, and financial institutions 

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years of progressive finance experience 
• Investment banking, Private Equity, or Management Consulting experience 
• Must have experience in FinTech, HealthTech, InsureTech, or other highly regulated industry 
• Experience in a rapidly growing environment 
• Experience building finance functions from scratch
