Overview
Radiation Therapist position in Radiation Therapy located in Lancaster, Ohio. This travel assignment begins on 05/11/2026 and runs for 8 weeks with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift is 5x8 days (Mon–Fri, 8:00 am–4:30 pm). Work setting is a Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Employment type: Travel – Temporary Assignment. Hiring organization: Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Weekly pay ranges from $2,286 to $2,451.

Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed radiotherapy treatments using appropriate equipment, per physician orders and established standards
- Obtain patient history, answer questions, and observe for any reactions during treatment
- Follow department and hospital policies, safety, infection control, and quality improvement guidelines
- Schedule treatments, interface with the physicist at treatment initiation, and coordinate with nurses and social workers
- Verify prescription, diagnosis, chart, and patient identification to ensure accurate treatment
- Prepare documentation such as treatment plans, progress notes, and evaluation results; document shifts and any deviations
- Position patients and prepare the room and equipment; assist with immobilization devices and life-support considerations as needed
- Reinforce post-treatment care instructions and discuss potential side effects with patients and families
- Perform port films/verification as directed and adjust therapy per physician guidance
- Engage in ongoing professional development through education and in-service activities

Requirements
- Education: Minimum an associate degree in radiography with a certification in radiation therapy; ARRT registered; CPR certified
- Licensure/ Certification: State of Ohio licensed radiation therapist; ARRT certification; CPR certification
- Experience: 1–2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred
- Licensure notes: Ohio Department of Health license preferred upon submission
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities; capable of prioritizing tasks and working independently
- Environment: Ability to work in a hospital-based short-term setting and adhere to department policies
