Overview
Radiation Therapist in Radiation Therapy for a travel - temporary assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. Start date 06/08/2026 for 15 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,213 to $2,265. Shifts rotate, with weekend and holiday coverage. This role supports a hospital-based oncology program serving the island of Hawaii and requires proficiency with major radiation therapy systems and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities
- Independently perform a variety of radiation therapy treatments, simulations, treatment planning, and fabrication of specialized treatment aides per physician instructions.
- Accurately set up and deliver treatments across multiple sites and modalities, including 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electrons.
- Operate a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and document patient data within ARIA EMR; maintain patient safety and accurate positioning.
- Conduct treatment simulations, verify target volumes, and collaborate with the care team to ensure accurate delivery for 25–30 patients per day.
- Assist with setup of imaging and localization, verify treatment accuracy, and participate in quality assurance activities.
- Recognize and respond to patient needs across the life span, communicating with the oncology team to adjust care as appropriate.

Requirements
- Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (T)
- Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a Radiation Therapist; license must be active by start date
- Hawaii license must be obtained by the start of assignment if not currently active
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible imaging technologist/specialist experience
- Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and ARIA EMR; Epic EMR experience (effective from Nov 1, 2025)
- Ability to treat 25–30 patients per day and to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
