Radiation Therapist
Full-Time | 8-Hour Day Shifts

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Department Manager and supervision of the Lead Radiation Therapist, the Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering prescribed therapeutic radiation treatments. This role involves performing procedures for patient setup, treatment planning, and verification to ensure accurate and effective delivery of radiation therapy using modern radiotherapy techniques, in alignment with departmental standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist
• Perform patient setup and positioning to ensure precise treatment delivery
• Assist in treatment planning and simulation procedures
• Verify accuracy of treatment parameters and equipment settings
• Monitor patients during treatment and respond to any adverse reactions
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited program in therapeutic radiologic technology
• National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire
• California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification or
  California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Specialized training in dosimetric techniques and the physics of treatment planning
