Occupational Therapist (OT) - Outpatient

Location: San Luis Obispo, CA

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $75 - $52.5 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on functional needs and goals
• Provide evidence-based interventions to improve strength, coordination, fine motor skills, and activities of daily living
• Assess and recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to maximize patient independence
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and adaptive strategies
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) License in California
• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current CPR/BLS Certification (if required by the clinic)
• Outpatient experience preferred but not required

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

• Occupational therapy evaluation and treatment planning
• Evidence-based intervention techniques
• Patient and caregiver education
• Interdisciplinary collaboration
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
