Job Description

Connect Staffing is hiring an Outdoor Laborer in College Station, TX, supporting a t elecommunications infrastructure company. You'll mainly assist with laying fiber-optic cables for high-speed internet installation and run fiber wire through conduit and place it underground for backfilling .

Pay: $23.00/hr

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, day shift

Location: College Station, TX

Job Type: Temp (6–8 month project)

Work Environment: Outdoor yard

Overtime: Yes, may be required based on project needs

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent outdoor labor experience (general construction, landscaping, micro-trenching, oil & gas field work, or similar)
• Ability to safely lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, walk, and work on your feet for 10–12 hours per day
• Comfortable working 20–25 feet from active railroad tracks

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications are a plus, not required.

• Prior experience working outdoors in hot, dirty, or challenging weather conditions
• Familiarity with fiber-optic cable installation or telecommunications projects
• Experience working near heavy equipment or active work zones
• Comfort performing physically demanding manual labor for extended periods

• Perform manual labor and site cleanup
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Follow safety procedures while working near railroad tracks and heavy equipment
