Construction Executive $200k+ (hybrid)

Commercial Mechanical Construction | HVAC & Plumbing

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Executive to provide strategic leadership across large-scale commercial HVAC and plumbing construction projects.

This role is ideal for a senior construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and is passionate about leading high-performing teams, strengthening client relationships, and delivering complex projects on time and on budget.

As a key leader within the organization, you will drive operational performance, mentor project teams, and play a critical role in the continued growth of the company’s mechanical construction operations.

Project Types

Projects include large-scale commercial mechanical construction across:

• Higher Education Facilities
• Healthcare & Life Sciences
• Mixed-Use & Multifamily Developments
• Government & Institutional Buildings
• Commercial Office Buildings
• Large Renovations & Mechanical System Upgrades

Typical project size ranges from $5M – $30M+ in mechanical scope , with responsibility for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level leadership across commercial mechanical construction projects
• Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Engineers, and Field Leadership
• Drive performance across safety, schedule, quality, and profitability
• Oversee project financials including budgets, forecasting, and risk management
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Support preconstruction efforts, project pursuits, and contract negotiations
• Oversee development and execution of master project schedules
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic growth and operational improvements
• Strengthen relationships with GCs, subcontractors, architects, and vendors
• Support implementation of new technologies and process improvements

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in construction leadership, project management, or engineering
• Strong experience in commercial construction (mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing preferred)
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing project teams
• Deep understanding of construction financials, contracts, and scheduling
• Strong client-facing and relationship management experience
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Compensation & Work Structure

• Base salary around $200,000 (flexible based on experience — can be higher or lower)
• Bonus potential up to 20%
• Full-time, salaried role (no overtime)
• Hybrid flexibility — up to 3 days work-from-home
• Local role — home every night (no extended travel required)
