Job Title: A-Level English Teacher
Location: Changzhou, Jiangsu
Start Date: August 2026

The high school division offers Cambridge International (A-Level) courses to prepare students for admission to top universities worldwide. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable A-Level English teacher to join our humanities faculty, fostering critical thinking, literary analysis, and cross-cultural understanding.

【Key Responsibilities】

Teaching & Instruction

Teach one or more A-Level English courses (English Language, English Literature, or combined syllabi), ensuring alignment with the Cambridge International assessment objectives and curriculum framework.

Develop engaging, inquiry-based lesson plans that cultivate students’ literary analysis, textual comparison, and creative and discursive writing skills.

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners in a multilingual classroom setting.

Curriculum & Assessment

Design and implement formative and summative assessments aligned with Cambridge International standards, including practice for Paper 1, Paper 2, and coursework components (where applicable).

Regularly analyze student performance data to adjust instructional strategies and provide targeted interventions.

Prepare students for A-Level examinations, including exam technique review sessions, essay writing workshops, and guided coursework supervision.

Student Support & Advising

Provide academic support and mentorship to students, including one-on-one writing conferences, extended essay guidance, and office hours.

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for growth.

Collaboration & Professional Development

Collaborate with the humanities department and international teaching team on curriculum alignment, interdisciplinary projects, and school-wide initiatives.

Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences.

Maintain active communication with Cambridge International regarding syllabus updates, marking schemes, and professional training.

【Qualifications & Requirements】
Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, English Literature, Education, or a related field.

Certification & Experience

Minimum 2–3 years of experience teaching A-Level English (Language and/or Literature).

Familiarity with the Cambridge International assessment structure, coursework moderation, and exam administration is highly preferred.
